Working with views

You can save the column selections, filter criteria, search terms, pagination settings, and sort order applied to a grid so you can apply them again in future to the same grid. You can also edit, rename, and delete existing views.

Note:  You cannot edit, delete, or rename the default view for the grid. Default views are designated with the word Default in brackets after the view name.

What do you want to do?

  • To apply an existing view to a grid, from the drop-down list in the title bar of the page, select the view.
  • To add a view:

    1. If you want to base the view you are adding on an existing view, from the drop-down list in the title bar of the page, select the view.
    2. Apply the search terms, filter criteria, column selections, pagination settings, and sort order you want to save to the view. For more information, refer to the related topics under See also below.
    3. Next to the View drop-down list, select and then select Save as New. The Save as New View dialog box appears.
    4. In the View Name field, enter a name for the view.
    5. Select Save.
  • To edit a view:

    1. From the View drop-down list, select the view.
    2. Edit search terms, filter criteria, column selections, pagination settings, and sort order for the view. For more information, refer to the related topics under See also below.
    3. Next to the View drop-down list, select and then select Save Changes.
  • To rename a view:

    1. From the View drop-down list, select the view.
    2. Next to the View drop-down list, select and then select Rename. The Rename View dialog box appears.
    3. In the View Name field, enter the name.
    4. Select Rename.
  • To delete a view:

    1. From the View drop-down list, select the view.
    2. Next to the View drop-down list, select and then select Delete. The Delete View confirmation message appears.
    3. Select Delete.
